Locking nuts on a FFRR are a complete waste of time IMHO - any self respecting wheel thief who can get the car off the ground would have no problem with the nuts - the only person they ever inconvenience is the legitimate owner...... |

Totally agree got shot of mine a couple of years ago and to be honest the ordinary nut looks better |

Agree with both posters above. I'd go further and say that the standard (and the locking) FFRR wheel nuts are one of the poorest designs I've ever seen - which is why I've replaced the whole lot. |

The FFRR locking wheel nuts combined with the standard jack make an emergency wheel change a right laugh.......

Early 405’s used the same nuts albeit with a slight modification to the “key socket” the actual nuts are the same rubbish design Alistair... ![]() |
