Changing over to the winters, last nut, last wheel, locking nut turning head and not coming out. Even the AA bloke couldn't help. So the rest have been removed , will need to find someone who can get it off local. Will need to put the first wheel I took off back on so the axle set is the same. So fncking annoyed...

Locking nuts on a FFRR are a complete waste of time IMHO - any self respecting wheel thief who can get the car off the ground would have no problem with the nuts - the only person they ever inconvenience is the legitimate owner......

Agree with both posters above. I'd go further and say that the standard (and the locking) FFRR wheel nuts are one of the poorest designs I've ever seen - which is why I've replaced the whole lot.

The FFRR locking wheel nuts combined with the standard jack make an emergency wheel change a right laugh.......

Early 405’s used the same nuts albeit with a slight modification to the “key socket” the actual nuts are the same rubbish design Alistair...
