Evening all...

Have done a little searching and seems to be trim issue...
Yesterday I had both headlights out for bulb change, since then when I get to around 55mph I am getting a really annoying humming noise from what seems the near side of the windscreen.
It is not always there, sometimes it is fine but it seems to happen more often than not. Never heard it before yesterday..
A few threads state it’s the scuttle panel below the windscreen (so completely unrelated to bulb changes)
Scuttle panel seems tight and snug...

Where should I apply tape to try and rule out certain bits and any recommendation for type of tape?
Driving me nuts!!!

Masking tape works (not the low tack type) but DO NOT LEAVE ON OVERNIGHT. If it gets wet or damp then dries it's a right game to get off.

Mine has developed a humming/vibrating noise over 50 mph, since scuttle was removed to access windscreen wiper mechanism.

Bought some clear Evo silicon type adhesive the other day, (some not recommended for soft plastic/rubber surfaces). Plan to give it a clean and run a seal to hopefully reseal the rubber strip at the bottom of windscreen

The scuttle panel is the normal cause at that sort of speed, air under the bonnet comes up underneath the scuttle and cause the vibration.

When the windscreen is replaced the scuttle panel is glued (thin bead) to the windscreen to stop this happening, the correct glue to use is polyurethane flexible adhesive / sealer, but it should really be the fast drying version that the windscreen boys use, but forget that as it's an arm and a leg and the slow drying stuff is just as good!!
