Change number plate bulb

Numpty question ...

Do the covers pop off, or do I need to undo the 4 screws near the covers?

Fitted LED ones.

They look great but ...

... now I’ve got the LED bug Smile

Are the bulbs for the puddle lights in the mirrors easy to change too?

And can I get some with the car’s outline on - like the Evoques?

As the reversing lights are rubbish, can I change these for led too?

Any links on where to buy the right canbus bulbs appreciated too.

Thank you.

No problem, glad it helped.

Nice to be able to instead of asking questions all the time Smile

I changed my number plate bulbs for LED and after a while I started getting lots of light faults popping up on the dash but none relating to number plate bulbs and when I finally removed the number plate bulbs to check them they had been over heating and had started to melt the plastic surround and had a very strong smell off burning.
Now I like the look of a bonfire as much as the next man but ....

Hmm, I've just changed mine for LEDs. I hope they don't melt the housings.

Re the reversing lights, the illumination comes out the end of the bulb like this BA9s base LED.

The L322 reversing lights are pretty poor. They really only tell the person behind that one is reversing. They do little to illuminate the area behind the car. Ron B. VK2OTC

Sharky,

Are they not a little long in the body?

The group buy ones are much shorter.

Cheers

I had the same issue with the numberplate lights they got hot and almost started to melt the plastic and they also didnt work correctly after a while and started flashing rather than staying on so wasnt too great.

I also had led side lights and one side got so hot it eouldnt eork and got warning messages and the wire was black and the only way to get it to work was to wire it into the other side one.

Could have just been unlucky but thought id put my experience up aswell of leds so its standard omes for me from now on. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

Prior to my RR expiring on Monday it has been fitted with LED's for 6 years. Every lamp apart from the Xenons was replaced. Had no issues - even got the funky RR projected lamps under the doors. Going to take me a while to transfer them all from the dead one to the new Westminster lol! Land Rover Addict

They 'just' fit, but it is snug without touching the lens. So far all looks good and they haven't overheated, burnt the lens or melted anything lol. Agree the group buy ones are shorter & have been made for the job, but I purchased these before I had this option...They certainly are a lot brighter Current RR L322 TDV8 VOGUE
