IID help

Hi all,

It's been quite a while since I've used my IID for anything other than checking engine fault codes (!). Can anyone help me with how to set the Service Announcement to ON?

Someone, somewhere seems to have turned it off on my new one and until yesterday (when I got it serviced) it was reading -18,000KM (I know it was serviced 6 months ago but obviously the vehicle wasn't told!). Now it reads that it's been reset but I want the countdown to pop up before the next service.

Thanks in advance!! Land Rover Addict

Hi Stan - that doesn't explain why it didn't tell me it was overdue a service prior to me getting it sorted yesterday Sad

I can take some photos of the service options - however there's no way to change any of them Sad Land Rover Addict

Forgive me but I don't understand why you think it's overdue for a service.

As I understand it, if it was serviced 6 months ago and reset it should last for a year or until a certain mileage has been reached. The mileage would depend on your style of driving, I might be wrong but I would imagine 18000km (11350 miles) might be within the limits.

Sorry if I have misunderstood. John

Hi,

It was at -18,000KM - in other words that's 24,000+18,000 (according to the car). I know the guy had the oil changed 6 months ago (about 7,000 miles according to MOT/Service paperwork). In theory it should have been showing me the -11,000 miles on the dash display Smile

All my previous RR's have warned me of an impending service...... Land Rover Addict

I have had my 2006 for nearly 5?yeara and never seen any type of service light so just get it done every 12,000 miles or once a year. Would be nice to actually have a service indicator though like I do on my BMW. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
