Hello / 405-Newbie - Autobiography Hybrid Questions

Hi All;

Hello to all of you!

I've been a LandRover D3 owner for +9 years (user on the Disco3.co.uk), and only recently I have sold my D3. And one the things that bothered me was the lack of the ACC - Active Cruise Control.

For many years I have admired the FFRR, and I'm in a good position to purchase one, however, just to be clear, "good" and not "great"position, so I have my eye on a second hand 2016 model, up to 2017 pre-April.

By choosing an autobiography, I believe certain optionals are included on the base model, however I have not been able to find such list. Does this list exists pls?

So, as an example these two FFRR have different specs, but they are both autobiography why the difference?
1) http://www.usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk/de...ls/2766254
2) http://www.usedvehicles.landrover.co.uk/de...ls/2794211

Also I have my own list of must haves, like:

* AUTONOMOUS EMER BRAKING
* COLLISION MITIGATION SYS
* ADAPTIVE-XENON HEADLAMPS
* ACC+QUEUE ASSIST
* AUTO HIGH BEAM ASSIST
* DUAL VIEW TOUCHSCREEN
* FUEL OPERATED HEATER
* HEATED/COOLED FRONT/REAR SEAT
* PARK HEATING W/REMOTE CONTROL
* PREMIUM AIR CONDTING-FRNT/REAR
* SURROUND CAMERA SYSTEM
* HEATED STEERING WHEELS
* PROXIMITY MIRROR CAMERA
* TOWBAR-ELECTRIC DEPLOYABLE
* LANE CONTROL
* TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION
* WATER WADING AID

Are there any other extras that you think is a must have pls?
Queue Assist or Head-up Display?

Many thanks

Lucio

One of the above only has 4 seats which hasn’t gone down very well in the used market, hence LR starting again in terms of design for 18MY.

Is there any reason you’re going for Hybrid? The batteries need replacing after 5 years @ circa £15k.

I wouldn't go anywhere near an old gen Hybrid. Do you know if that's the case with the new PHEV?

Hi A

"...The batteries need replacing after 5 years @ circa £15k...."

Couple of the reasons for going Hybrid was the fuel economy and the reduction in tax.

Really, every 5 years! This is £3k/Year which is quite a lot! Do they fail? or it is just how it was designed?

Do you know if a list exists with the basic spec for the Autobiography pls?

Thanks

Lucio

Do you have the relevant original brochure? If not, PM me your email address and I can send you a copy, as it includes all of the detailed specs per model.

I know when I looked at a hybrid (the white one you listed caught my eye) I was told the battery is covered by Landrovers extended warranty for five years.

I recall reading the battery is expected to last up to 10 years but I couldn't find any further information about how the battery is expected to degrade over that period.

I came to the conclusion, as the majority of my journeys are over 30 miles, the electric part pf the engine would became redundant and I would be left driving a 2.0 petrol, so bought a diesel instead.
