Should have added it’s a standard 2002 screen, not the touch screen. |

The sound level of the Satnav is independently variable, could it simply be set to it’s lowest setting? |

As Niceday says.......when you know the sat nav should be speaking, turn the volume knob up.

Thanks for the replies, RR is back under surgery today so I’ll try this next week. I’m looking forward to a ‘fault’ fixed for free. |

Have the car back and checked the sat nav volume setting. It was at zero so I increased it. Now I hear the radio sound reduce at markers when the sat nav voice should sound e.g. half mile warning, but still no sat nav voice. There is a Parrot blue tooth phone set in the car (which doesn’t work correctly either) was it common or possible that they used the sat nav voice input for the Parrot phone? L322 2002. |

Not clear, are you increasing the volume on the steering wheel control when the sat nav voice should be speaking? John

I went to the settings screen and found what I think is a balance control scaled 0 to 12 if I remember correctly, putting it up full causes the radio to quieten when, for example, the sat nav screen shows there’s half a mile to the next turning, then rhe radio rises back to normal volume. It might be reducing the front speakers only? I guess it is quitening the radio to make the sat nav instruction easier to hear. I’m not touching the wheel volume control. Is there another sat nav voice volume setting somewhere? |
