So i can kind of guess what this feature should offer, but it begs the question of when/how does it deploy?

I'm always getting the damned brake warning pop up on the dash to gain my awareness that i 'might' be about to crash, but it doesn't take control of the brakes, or at least if it does it's not very effective. Is AEB a paid for option or if not, under what conditions does it activate/do anything?. Paul

hi paul, it is standard I think on all 2017 models, I have a setting under vehicle set up on the dash to turn it on or off..., I didn't pay any extra for it so must be standard and mine is a vogue so the cheapest model as such...

Hi, mine always gives me the warning too, but you probably haven't been close enough for the brake to kick in, that said you can definitely feel it slow you down a little as you get closer Thumbs Up 2010 defender utility

My wife's is now doing this, amongst other things.

We were hoping reliability had settled down after the first 6 months of various issues.

you need to contact the dealer and ask them to sort out the latest batch of updates for the car.
I understand the latest ones are starting to solves many issues with electronics.
