What did you use to lube the lower tailgate springs? Mine groan a bit!

Technically this was yesterday but refitted the bumpers to my old L322 after getting them back from the body shop, and handed it over to my dad who has had it off me.

Also got my plate fitted to my new TDV8 after the paperwork came back through from the DVLA.

New oil

Fresh engine oil and filter today. Been putting it off for a week or so because we've rain just about everyday since August. Big Cry Took the MAP's out and too clean to bother about. Had a look inside the intercooler hoses and all clean in there. Throttle bodies clean too
Tomorrow I'll do the diffs and transfer box.
I have a waste oil burner that heats the house and hotwater, so I get 2 uses out of my oil. Very Happy
Ooh, must order a spare key from Ducky Dan.

Changed the piston ring in the compressor, about a 30minute job. Now 1 minute to change direction upwards one step.
Compressor temperature is much higher though, I guess higher friction?

Call me dim, but finally worked out what the factory plastic stick is for propping open the bottom tailgate when getting the spare out!

Best wishes
Glen

Found the time for a maintenance afternoon.

Treterd it to a full clean inside and out.
Upgraded the tailgate latch to the later version, no more annoying accidental activations.
Dismantled and cleaned the tailgate catches so it now closes properly without using the manual tabs.
Replaced the rear windscreen motor, wiper arm and blade.

Thinks that'll do for the next couple of weeks! Laughing
