Reading through other posts of a similar nature, it would appear that this is a starter motor / solenoid issue. I think most people have cured this by changing the motor / solenoid |

Thanks both, it’s only 31000 miles, but i guess lots of small journeys but more work on the parts - I’ll get it into the garage in the next few weeks 2012 westminister Overfinch Obsidian Conversion |

Relay 6 in the engine compartment fuse panel is for the starter solenoid so worth replacing it before considering the starter itself. |

Had the same problem when I had a 2011 l322 when only 18 months old and 6000 miles. dealer fitted a new starter motor under warranty and it is a known weakness. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Thanks all, sounds like the starter motor is the culprit. I have only had the car a few months so have an RAC warranty on it with no upper limit, spoke to them this morning and they are happy for me to take it anywhere VAT registered so now its between my local specialist PVH landrover or going to the main dealer? Dealer is closer but are they likely to be awkward as it’s had an inside and out overfinch obsidian conversion... decisions decisions 2012 westminister Overfinch Obsidian Conversion |

Finally got it in today to get looked at, took it to PVH landrover in stokesley, was the starter motor after all so thanks to all who diagnosed it on here! All covered under warranty and PVH dealt with all the paperwork and warranty stuff! Happy boy with a 100% working FFRR again. 2012 westminister Overfinch Obsidian Conversion |
