United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver
Navigation MkIV splash screen / roll back

Hi chaps, first post after getting a 2002 Vogue TD6 last week.

It came with the cd nav drive missing. I've got a MK4 dvd drive and its all working.

I've downloaded and burnt a V32 firmware disc with the LR spalsh screen on it from the obvious website, cheers Matt.

But when its in it won't update as it says the unit is already running that version. So then I'm left with the BMW splash screen. I remember reading about this somewhere, that it needs rolling back in order to then upgrade with the LR splash screen version. But I'v spent an hour searching various forums and can't find an answer.

Any ideas?

Ideally I'm looking for an image to burn a disc.

Thanks for the help, and happy easter Very Happy

Hi Widget,

Did you get this sorted or are you still driving a Rangie with a personality disorder ?

No I'm afraid I'm still driving around in an RR with a BMW screen.
But at least it's only for 10 seconds on startup. 2002 L322 Vogue Zambezi Silver

Are you absolutely sure the V32 firmware update disc has the Rangerover splash screen installed, mistakes do happen in "manufacture?" It might be worth asking your supplier.

I had the same issue a while back. Problem is that system will not update if software version is same as already installed on the satnav computer. I made a new dvd with the latests Range Rover splash screen (the one that mirrors itself) and also changed the version number. This DVD then loaded just fine and updated the splash screen.

I had same problem rolled it back by loading an earlier version then reloaded v32 again bingo.
Little tip as well if you turn speed camera notification off it changes all you instrument cluster to French to get round this leave it on and increase the aspect distance until it stops talking to you.

I remember when I was playing with the graphics back in the day, changing the colours, adding speed cameras, adding night mode and clouds and that sort of thing.
From memory every time I uploaded it, I just changed the version number between 31 and 32 so it would load each time. Obviously was always version 32 but it would see it as a different version and load. Porsche 911 (996)
