I think there is also a relay in the circuit so, if that's at fault, changing the fuse wouldn't have helped. I'm afraid I can't give you any clue as to location but would expect it to be somewhere near the fuse.

thanks for your reply. its seems the relays sit on top the front fuse box in glove box.. but i have no idea on how to get to them as there on top.

found out how to get to the heated steering wheel relay !

I tried all this with mine and it was the heating element within the wheel that had failed |

Amongst the screws that have to come out are three (IIRC) which are along the metal bar right underneath. Not sure how easy this would be, but can you find the power feed to the steering wheel and check there is a voltage there before you strip out the glovebox? 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

Update did some reading and seems the steering wheel won’t turn on if battery voltage is lower then expected when car is started.. as car does a lot short journeys I stuck it on charger for couple days when I went away. Come home started up and amazingly the steering wheel worked fine.
