Sticking caliper? Check the wheels for temperature after a short run. John

Well it looks like it was the exhaust heat shield which had come loose. |

I think there may still be an issue with the TC which is causing the judder under gentle acceleration. |

Have you checked for the caliper? Symptoms like running over a cattle grid, which is similar to what you described, can be caused by a sticking caliper.

Mine was like the cattle grid or the rumble strips at the side of a motorway, not a thump thump. Thump thump could be a worn UJ maybe or suspension arm ?

The main noise has been cured now. It’s more of a feeling than a nois when juddering on acceleration and is very mild. |

Following the noise of the heat shield I developed another similar noise. When I checked this was obviously relayed to the rear wheel as it was extremely hot. Turns out the brake calliper was sticking.
