Polishing my tips.

Its amazing how OCD you can become when polishing the exhaust tips, I mean I haven't touched them in years. I bought some fancy, expensive, none abrasive metal polish - useless. So I reverted back to autosol and elbow grease and then a pan scrubber and a bit of wet and dry where needed. This brings me to my only question are the tips just alloy all the way through or is there a danger of "going through" with the wet and dry? Geoff

Stan didn't like polishing his tips. That's why he changed to one running on the Devil's juice! Laughing Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993

Cut 3’ x 6” of old bed sheet. Fold it length ways a few tims so it is about 1” or 2” wide. Dab solvol along the middle 1’ and wrap the ends round each hand so you have a belt and polish away. Much quicker than the usual db onthe end of one or two fingers.

I've never needed any encouragement to polish my tips. But I prefer it when the wife does it for me.
