I have done that too, bought an original sump pan, and then bought the correct oil direct from ZF, remember it being a bit of a pain to get to the right people at ZF but far cheaper to buy the oil that way.

Is there any way to know if you have this update without going to the main dealer? |

I have got an invoice from when mine was serviced and it is included in the itemised bill.

Hi, yes I do, especially noticeable when using the cruise control set at around 75mph. |

I was aware of it for a long time and just put up with it "coughing" at about 75/80mph, but since I had it done it feels better all the way through the rev range and definitely no more "coughs".

How obvious is this hunting? When travelling on CC @ 128kmph(80mph)there is a faint hunt. Not sure if this is only the cc trying to maintain the set speed or the hunting you guys are talking about.Driving without cc at that speed it is smooth. Is this "coughing"very obvious? 2012 TDV8 Vogue SE 4.4 |

Hi Frans, it wasn't horrific just sometimes the car couldn't decide what gear/throttle combo it wanted and would sort of cough and lurch a bit, you noticed it most on the cruise control when going down a hill, the thing just seemed confused, it wasn't dire but once I notice something my ocd kicks in....... it's smoother now at all speeds and the coughing/hunting issue has gone. |
