Alistair, thanks for that link. This, like the one from Simon pretty much duplicates my symptoms, what mystifies me is that the specialists I have spoken to don't seem aware of this emergency interlock code. It is apparently a BMW aberration and was maybe only on the early L322s! Gerry. |

Simon, Alistair, unfortunately locking and unlocking with either the key or the remote failed to make any difference. Thanks anyway. I am now going to phone round the dealers to see if anyone has experienced this problem before. No point in going anywhere where they have to waste time going through the same routines I have been through already! Gerry. |
