My shocks had deteriorated presumably due to worn piston seals and/or valves from rather severe use, causing small bumps on bitumen roads to be felt as thumps and allowing the vehicle, especially the front, to bounce considerably over big pot-holes, so I knew that damping was no longer anywhere near adequate.

Another re-calibration was done 2 days ago at 93K kms as the ride had deteriorated again, not adequately damping over ruts and bumps and the car jostled about on major rural roads. The ride is good again - for the moment at least. This time I drove at 80 kph on a surface causing a poor ride for the 10 seconds calibration period. |
