Wheel Nuts

Hi folks,

Has anyone else tried to use different wheel nuts? Due to the bad design, the bolt rusts under the aluminium cover and a 22mm socket no longer fits.. I have even struggled with a 23mm and 24mm is too loose.

On a few wheel nuts, I had sheer the aluminium cover off to take the nut off.

Wondering if there are some replacement nuts Current:
- L560 Velar HSE R-Dynamic D180
- Peugeot 508 2011 - 2.2 HDi GT

Past:
- FFRR V 2010 - 3.6 TDV8
- Citroen C4 1.6i Petrol
- Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 DID
- Peugeot 607 2.2 HDi
- Nissan Primera 1.8 SVE
- Honda Civic 1.6 VTEC

Hi , plenty of solid ones ( with no caps ) available on ebay. Use the search function on here and you will see a long post about them. I have them in mine and they are very good. 2015 4.4 AB

If you Google Wrington Engineering they have very nice stainless steel nuts for pre & post 2005 wheels, although relatively pricey at £220 for 20 Shocked

You could try the 12 point universal sockets that grip on the corners of the nut, these can be used on a lot damaged nuts and still grip enough to hold. David

Please let me know if my comments upset you, I may wish to upset you again.

Cheers David.. I got the nuts off with the 23mm socket..

Just want to replace them with the solid wheel nuts but cant seem to find them on Fleabay, just the normal ones which after a while will be the same. Current:
