Anyone had to replace L405 windscreen?

Has anyone had their screen repaired and if so, any problems after the fitting (such as condensation, wind, poor trim fit or the seal never quite being as good as the factory fit)?

Thanks

Thumbs Up

Had previous L405 W/screen replaced.(stone).. no problem, and current L405 W/screen replaced (Pigeon!).. no problem, they said, with follow up letter that car will need recalibration at L/R... L/R said not required and were correct. Both times W/screen sourced from nearest L/R dealer.

Had front screen changed and noticed heated screen not working. New screen was definitely heated version, you can see the wires in some lights. I then sold the car to dealer shortly after who was happy to look at it after I warned them on handover day about the problem.

I had a similar issue with the heated screen - got Autoglass back out and all done in 15 mins - there are apparently 2 sets of identical connectors - one set only does the wiper area, the other the entire screen - and it's common to pick the wrong one......

When I had mine done and called Autoglass, I specified that I wanted a Pilkington screen - they were fine with that, told me it would take a few days longer to source, but I agreed to that.
