Am broke down, for the first time owning the 2002 TD6 Vogue . Came to car after day at race track, wouldnt unlock from fob. Manually opened with key, key won't turn in the ignition, no sounds of locks unlocking when key inserted. Odd things radio stopped working on way here. IID tool communicates with no key in, Ibus fault and steering lock rotation detection lock short to battery. I have power to mirrors and electric windows, but no central locking. No other thing seems to be powered up.
Is it a ignition lock fault that could cause all this? It's odd the central locking is not working, from button on dash and keyfob. RAC man has been and given up.

Yes and jump start it's just gone up in smoke!!!! Left hand back corner unit at bottom nearly under boot floor. It's now got crispy burnt looms

Will post updates next week. But 7 hrs to get home I live 20mins away from where it was. Really not in the mood now. Insurance tomorrow see what they say.. if it ever runs again it's sold and I'm going back to 300tdi discos

Did the smoke happen in your care or in RAC's care?

I have known RAC to pay out after buffering someone's car up

It was in my care waiting for recovery. Anyway. Radio Ecu fried.
So new Ecu and plug and loom section ordered. Now all repaired and rewired keyfob now locks and unlocks car, but still have nothing upon inserting key to ignition, no clicks or unlocking of the barrel?
No bad fuses, no faults from IID tool.

Any suggestions?
