last years quote was £216, this years £306 an increase of £90..i thought insurance was supposed to come down each year Laughing ...

age-old git
ncb- as long as i can remember
excess- voluntary £150 compulsory £100

i can get it slightly cheaper but its not worth the hassle to change over tbh.... ... - .- -.

The government put the insurance tax up in June or July by another 2 or 3%

The only way to get a good deal seems to be to shop around. Existing companies don't seem to value customer retention Big Cry

I agree with all of the above, but was pleasantly surprised with my renewal quote from Tesco last month which had only gone up by £20, so I just paid it and didn't complain.

mike #1, even the comparison sites couldn't better my existing quote which in previous years they did..

Mine for my Roadster and RR went up from about £700 last year to £1800 this year! They wanted £2100 initially, but I never let them get away with the first price they quote. Shocked

I didn't have any claims (or, indeed, accidents...), but I did swap my 4.2 for a 5.0 and add a Jaguar to the policy as well. So that's probably why. Still stings a bit, though!

When you consider the level of risk that they're taking on and how expensive cars and people are to fix now, it's pretty amazing how anyone makes a living out of it!

Having said that, I'm only human, so I still resent paying every year Laughing

SAGA - its good for us old gits Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I did use them however I found using multicar from Esure got me a better price. The wife then had a crash and got a speeding ticket so she now pays them more for her Nissan Juke (£303) than I do for my RR (£213) , we both have NCD since the dawn of time and are over 60 and live in the sheltered backwater that is Chorley.

I told them I had fitted new 22" alloy wheels, they asked in they were genuine LR. Yes they are , so they sent me £10 back. I was so concerned that they may have made a mistake I explained that they were more blingy than the original 20" wheels, however computer said send him 10 pound back so they did. Thumbs Up Geoff

I was with Saga for several years when I had my Td6 but as soon as I upgraded to 4.4 the quotes rocketed despite 30yrs+ NCB and nil points etc.
I always liked Saga because of the unlimited European cover but when they quoted me nearly £800 I changed to Tesco.

I have just been completely blown way by the service that I've just received, the cover offered and the price quoted by the NFU!! Shocked

You need a relatively rural postcode though...

^ True about the postcode part. They quoted £2400 for ours when other were a lot less than a third of that.

Maybe they've seen the flames in the night sky Very Happy
