IIDtool - TPMS fault?

My TPMS light randomly flashes on and off, it stays on for no more than 5 seconds then goes off again. It never gives me a warning message though!

I've plugged the IIDtool in and it isn't showing any faults, unless I'm being thick I can't find any sort of live values etc only the TPMS module data.

Is there a way to actually diagnose faults on it?

All the other threads seam to end up with people turning the system off and no real answers. Current

My car is the same age and I see similar issues, I suspect it's the batteries in the valves reaching end of life.

I thought the same about batteries running flat, but, 4 new tyres /valves later and almost new spare+valve, still the same flashing warning. One thing I did notice tho' was wet weather seamed to make it worse.
I decided I didnt want to throw more money at it so turned it off with the IIDtool.

Menu / Car Config / TPMS Tyre Pressure Monitor / set to Not Fitted / None.

I've done a 250m round trip with the trailer on today with a couple of stops.

When i first set off this morning it actually gave me a message saying check spares tyre pressure which I know has 40psi in it???
It gave me this message repeatedly for about 70m until I pulled into a mcdonalds for a coffee, when I restarted I had a TPMS system failure messgae which went off pretty much straight away and a few mile down the road I got the spare tyre again on and off until I got to my destination.

On the return journey it was back to just flashing the TPMS light every now and then and no message??7

I'd prefer to fix it but diagnosing it seams to be the sticking point, unfortunately I think it's going to be switched off Big Cry Current
