Sitting lop sided

So I'm fairly new to the world of the full fat, and I recently purchased a '57 TDV8 3.6 in Stornoway Grey, which is a lovely motor and I'm slowly working through fixing a few issues I have with the car.

Yesterday, after a full wash and polish, I raised the car from access to normal and I noticed that the car isn't sitting level, but higher on the drivers side / lower on the passenger. I dropped it back to access, raised it to standard, raised it to off-road, then back to standard and still she was sitting lop sided. So I dropped her to access and drove off to collect my daughter and she came back up to standard. A quick 15 mile round trip and I parked her up and she's still sitting lop sided.

Do you think this is something that I can clear with the Battery off procedure, and if so, what position should the suspension be in when I disconnect?

I have had a couple of 'air suspension inactive' messages but ignored them as the suspension is working and I have lights on the switch.

England

You can try battery disconnection, with car at normal road height.

However, because you have had ASI messages, it might be worthwhile getting the codes read to see what caused these. If you do not have your own diagnostics then an IIDTool will certainly keep costs down in the long run (there are others - Solus/Hawkeye/icarsoft).

Because you seem to be able to go to all heights with ease, appears the compressor/reservoir is all OK, so you either have a small leak somewhere or more likely a problem with a height sensor/sensors, or a sticky valve block.

With diagnostics you can also re-calibrate the suspension heights .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Thanks, I'll try the battery disconnection method first, as she recently had a drivers side rear tyre replaced at a supposed quick tyre fitter but spent an hour and half jacked up, and she's now sitting high on that side.

Failing that, I'll invest in a IID tool, as it seems a necessary accessory for full fat ownership Very Happy

Doh!

Just downloaded and read the relevant section of the workshop manual and had a lightbulb moment. I had one of the front drop links replaced a couple of weeks ago, and according to the workshop manual you have to recalibrate the suspension after this. So there is all the justification I needed to by a IID tool

So I tried the battery disconnect today (didn't blow myself up so thats good), but it didn't do the trick. Offside is about 50mm higher than nearside. Guess its time to buy the IID tool.

IIDBT arrived yesterday, and I've been reading the extensive manual all week, so I was ready to dive in this morning and use the tool to level up my L322. I used the manual program and a trusty tape measure and she's now sitting level and fair flying up and down through the various settings.

Also had a play around with some of the functionality and I'm well impressed with the range of options available.
