Total closure/opening

Hi Gang

Been a while but wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm sure on my old L322 total closure/opening included the sunroof but on my MY10 version it only seems to open/close the windows.

Does anyone know if it should also work the roof or was this a model change thing.?

Thanks

My 2010 only closes the sunroof and passenger front window for some reason but opens everything on the global opening.

Oddly mine does neither, the rear drivers side window stops at 4 places during its operation (no one touch for that window only) and I think this is the cause of the problem.

I've tried to reset using the various hints and tips on here to no avail.

Its not a biggie but global opening would be useful in this hot weather.

If anyone has any other suggestions they are welcome but I feel I either put up with it or strip the door down - ball ache. Geoff

My 06 does the roof and windows open and close. It didn't work at all when I got the car so switched it on with the IID tool The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays

On both mine it did everything. I know you can configure it with the various diag tools, but never needed to.

Not sure why it would only do windows or whatever, as that wouldn't be "total closure". 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I have total colusure on mine too, but it''s worth noting that the sunroof is the last to close.

The windows get closed, then the sunroof, all the time with my finger holding down the button.

Same with opening. The windows are virtually fully open before the sunroof even thinks about it! Previous cars:

Thumbs Up

I live in the Highlands so the only time I would use total opening would be to let the effing midgies out in the morning to go feed on the tourists.......fly my lovelies, fly ! Twisted Evil

I used to have this, but after a visit to a vehicle sparky to have the system reset following a failure of the central locking and interior lights it no longer works. Looking through the handbook, this as well as a number of other 'owner options' can be set by your local friendly(!) JLR dealer or, I would have thought, any sparky with the correct software. I haven't been back to have mine set up again as I only found out that it could do it when I accidentally sat on the keys while in the caravan on holiday and wondered why the windows were lowering themselves. Hate to think what might have happened if I hadn't noticed and it had rained..... QUID FACIUM TIBI

Been there and done that!

We were approaching Exeter on holiday when I got a call from a neighbour asking why i'd left all the car windows and sunroof open on my Beemer in the pouring rain? I had to turn around and head back to Newbury to lock the car.

Turns out i'd been sitting on the Beemer keys as we drove off in the wife's car.

It could have been much worse if one of the local scrotes saw it and decided to take the car!

So full closure or opening can be a mixed blessing!
