Steering wheel adjustment

Just got the RR back from the garage after putting it in for a change of fluids; engine (+filter), transmission fluid (+ sump/filter), transfer box and both diffs.

It has now developed an issue with the steering wheel.

It adjusts in and out OK, but not up and down. When you operate the switch, you can hear the motor operating but no movement - and it is in the lowest position!

Will put IID tool on later, but any ideas please?

Some info here. http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdetails/s...troduction

It is a well documented problem usually because the drive mechanism has failed and the motor is not having any effect.

It happened to mine and I ended up moving it by hand to a position that suited and then left it. It meant removing the shroud to access the motor, which is a pretty straightforward job. John

Thanks for that. Just what I needed.

S*d's law - it's working agin now - so I shall investigate getting a replacement later tilt motor assembly in case of future problems
