Front Headlights Washer Jets - Not Working

Hey Everyone.

My RR has her MOT tomorrow and all is look well, apart from the front Washer Jets. When my mechanic removed the engine last year he managed to damage both the parking sensors and washer jets, neither of which work anymore!

I removed the bumper yesterday to have a look, as I imagined the parking sensors clips where damaged and will have to be replaced, alas however the washer jets where disconnected.

I reconnected them but still no luck. There is a connection to a reservoir which connects to the front jets and when I disconnected the line from here water pours out, but when I activate the front light washers it doesn't increase in force.

From hear the water goes to a T junction and is split to either light. Could it be a fuse, if so which one? Any other suggestions!

Thanks.

I disconnected the line and blew compressed air through it. From this spray came out the nozzels on the bumper. Therefore all is connected right, therefore the only problem appears to be the pump/ or fuse.

Don't forget that the h/l washers only operate every 5th time the w/s washers do and need the h/l to be switched on before they will operate.

I had faulty jets and the mot failed.

To remedy I removed the wheel arch liner to access tge jets and swapped the pipes over so the rear jet pushed the headlights, when I saw that working I swapped the jets on the washer reservoir so the headlights and windscreen were working but not the rear screen and it passed.

Yes, it looks like the pump isn't working for the headlights.

So if I swap the pipes into the rear pump will that be OK.

Is the rear washer a requirement of the test?

She failed and I have to get her retested, I was hoping he wouldn't notice!!!

You'll also need to swap the plugs, easiest way in is to remove the passenger side wheel arch

For the 2003 you should have headlight wipers as well or has yours had a face lift ?
If you dont have wipers then strictly speaking you should have high pressure washers although i doubt the MOT guy will test the pressure.
You may be ok if when the face lift was done they out the high pressure pump in as well.
But thinking about it i believe they are only required if you have HID lights

I believe the OP has changed to a newer model TDV8 but hasn't gotten around to updating his profile yet.
