3 beeps...?? solved

Hi all,

Had a good read through the manual but still none the wiser why my car beeps at me three times. Usually after a few minutes of driving. Sometimes only 30 seconds of driving. IT seems random to me but perhaps someone here can shed some light for me.?

Thanks Ash

Sure this has been asked before, I think it's either some form of tracker, or if it's almost on the hour, the clock beeping at you to tell you. 2006 Mercedes CLS

did the car come with two black credit card size plastic fobs, this is what the unit in your car is looking for, hence the 3 pips. not found.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

3 pips is telling you it has a Navtrak Tracker and the little plastic fob is in the car and the system is activated. 5 beeps tells you it has the system but it either can't find the card or the system is deactivated.
The "card" is about 40mm square and 4mm thick. It is hard black plastic and an occasional flashing LED.

def not got any plastic credit card type affair with the car.. Can't recall if it was three beeps but think it was.

Seems like you pull away from park (in access mode eas) and it's beeping to tell me it's gonna rise (or that's what it seems to me)..?? Ash

Call Navtrak / Cobra on 08000 719800, give them your registration and explain the issue and they will soon tell you if it has a tracker.

My daily "low temp" indicator is a single "bong" rather than a "beep"...

Its a heart stopper as its the same "bong" as the "your gearbox has gone terminal / the engine has no coolant...."

Do you press and hold access mode to lock it in? If so you will get as you describe once reaching the predetermined speed. Ian

3 Beeps...Solved.!

Thanks for all the suggestions folks.

My mind is at rest now. It is 3 beeps to let me know the hour is approaching (as in time) and a single beep to let me know when the temp gets as low as 3 degrees C..!

Phew... nothing more sinister than that. Ash
