That issue again , Sorry FBH

I don't think this is a new topic , only I have exhausted my search. I have a 2004 TD6 WHICH IN THE Manual says it has AUX HEATING/VENTILATION.
I haven't had the car long but would like to have all things working as they should.
There is no heat option on the screen menu only ventilation.
So according to some you can enable , there is no webasto module in the rear but it does have a pre-heater as I hear it and within less than half a mile this am . I could feel heat. So what do I do next , I removed fuse 59 to reset as it has been suggested , but no luck.

The module in the rear is for the remote fob.
on the screen settings menu go to timer controls, you can preset the timer to go on at a certain time, and that should last for 30 mins.
the preheater will come on when the outside ambient temperature is around 8 deg Celsius or below.
the fobs and modules are available on the bay of e, and will need pairing, I have the module in mine but no fob, and tbh I really don't need it.
fyi, all td6's came with the preheater, it was an option on the petrols.
greg Thumbs Up

Thanks for replying.

Your right, not required really but....., so it's not available on screen on mine and would be if I had the module? Are there spare plugs for this connection and where does the module live , do you know please.
Meantime I'll look for it online.
Sorry I've just reread post module in rear!
Sorry about upside down pic! Smile

I have a TD6 and it has a FBH, the unit is located behind the front passengers wheel arch, under the battery.

The timer doesn't appear anywhere on my screen menu either, when I bought my FF the fuse had been removed, I refitted it and it worked but as previously stated, only when the OAT is below a certain value.

I don't know if the timer can be enabled in the menu, I have an IIT tool on order so I'll take a look when it arrives but as it stands, it comes on automatically below a certain temp., all be it a little smokey but I put that down to non use while the fuse was removed.

Will do, but it will probably take me a few days to get to it, and I don't think I have the module in the boot, I believe that's just for remote operation.

Being a man with no patience, a new toy, and a quick transfer of ownership and unlock code to enable the tool from Patrick in GAP, I can confirm the IID tool will enable the FBH control in the touch screen menu.

Preheater on mine comes on at 15 degrees or below. I think 15 has been standard for a while.
