Eureka Luggage nets at last and under £4 a pair!!!

After what has seemed like forever, I have found a great deal on nets for the boot of the L322. After buying the terrible nets currently on offer from Land Rover that as you will see just do not really fit!

I discovered after hours on eBay this set of nets see below and for £9.95 for 3 pairs a flipping bargain! so have spares and a set of nets for under £4! instead of £38.95 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if you are struggling with bags etc floating around the boot go to...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Job-Lot-6-x-...51f2bd9f1f

Maybe share the extra sets with another L322 friend!

Cheers

Bob Thumbs Up

P.S: When you receive them ditch the hooks as fits better without, the nets are approx 60x60cm.

I thought the genuine ones were like a pocket, an inner and outer joined at sides and bottom? Sort of like a net envelope?

Thought so. May be making myself a set, all depends on how much they are to buy and if it's worth the bother. Confused

Can anyone give me the dimensions of the mesh at all ? What I need is the size of the hole in the net when pulled "square", IE, the size of just one square hole. I can order the correct net then from our supplier.

Colour coded might look nice Cool

Cheap nets or not?

Thanks for the replies...

Basically, nets are approx 60x60cm. The Land Rover nets are ok but for the price, they are not a patch on the original sets you see in the old brochures.

The current Land Rover nets are indeed an envelope however at three pairs of nets off eBay for £9.95, you can just sew two together! and use the last pair in another car. However, I found the overstretched originals a faff to use the envelope and it offered little storage.

Using these cheap as chips nets work fine for blankets, bags and my excellent jump starter and all the other clutter that ends up in the boot!

The £30 you save will be easily spent on another part needed for the beast!

Thanks Very Happy

Bob, I have to make a boot liner this week so will probably make some nets as well. Do you happen to know the mesh size, it's not too important but would be good to get a similar size. I shall make the nets to fit the anchor points, as large as is possible but still keep the tension. May go up a size in bungy which will let me go a shade bigger with the nets.
I'll probably make the liner so the net anchor points come through, that will let me keep liner in and still use the nets.

If you need nets for the floor of the boot, Mercedes C class nets fit nicely, if a little tightly. This come as standard with C Class, part 205 860 03 74.

Cheaply available from the well know auction site.
