Yes, that was my thinking, all that caked on rough grit and grime can't be doing much for the bag apart from eventually wearing a hole in it...... |

Always worth cleaning them off then rubbing a bit of gummipflege over them when in the fully off road position. Stops cracking and drying. Although that shouldn't be a prob as yours are so new. |

I have always extended my FF's into off road height every few weeks and cleaned the mud and crud off, then washed them with a damp cloth. A couple of times a year I spray them with silicone spray to keep the rubber supple.
