Mine's done this once but also has disconnected the phone during a conversation twice.

B@lls, did it again today with close to disastrous consequences. Left my meeting in Birmingham & the Infotainment full on froze, to the point the clock on the screen didn't even move. Lost everything including Nav & had to stop at a service station close to the M5 & shut the car down for 10mins to reset.

Not that I can offer any advise in this situation but it was only the other day I found that in a BMW you could force a restart of iDrive whilst on the move! I'd owned my 650i for 2 1/2 years and it would have been useful as it occasionally would lock up. Found out the week after it sold!

You should be a priority its a new car with faults. Two weeks imo is not acceptable. |

Just booked my new car in & was told 20th April was the earliest they could take a look. Needless to say I'm escalating that as is wholly unacceptable. Paul

So mine went in today & it (according to the dealer) asked for a full Software update which took well over 2 hours to apply. The journey home went without incident, however was only a 30min drive so no idea if the problems are fixed.

Do you have the Incontrol app. The app for using the apps installed on the phone with the infotainment system. I had a similar issue to you so deleted the app. Not the Incontrol Remote app for checking the status of the car etc but the other one.
