Infotainment system stalling and restting

The new infotainment system installed in my car keeps stalling and then shutting down and restarting, sometimes straight away other times it takes minutes to reset. Anyone else suffering from issue. Dealer is aware and have Landrover looking into it.

Mine's done this once but also has disconnected the phone during a conversation twice.

Had it down to teething issues being new so will keep my eye on it. Also noticed i sometimes have to unplug the phone from the USB port a couple of times to get InControl Apps to open. Paul

B@lls, did it again today with close to disastrous consequences. Left my meeting in Birmingham & the Infotainment full on froze, to the point the clock on the screen didn't even move. Lost everything including Nav & had to stop at a service station close to the M5 & shut the car down for 10mins to reset.

Not a pleasant experience as lost pretty much all functionality in the car until it reset.

Anyone know if a shortcut exists to reset the Infotainment without parking up? On my M5 you held the power button down for 10secs, but that didn't appear to do anything on the RR, although I may not have counted to 10 before getting hacked off. Paul

Not that I can offer any advise in this situation but it was only the other day I found that in a BMW you could force a restart of iDrive whilst on the move! I'd owned my 650i for 2 1/2 years and it would have been useful as it occasionally would lock up. Found out the week after it sold!

And here it is mentioned again!

Anyway good luck with finding a solution! 2005 E60 M5

Just been advised by the dealer that landrover now have an update to solve this problem and my headup display not working.
Landrover have said some vehicles were not configured correctly before delivering the vehicles.
Let's hope this is an end to it, been driving me potty since collecting the car.
Dealer can't do update until 10thApril
Will keep you informed
Steve

10th April, not good is it.
Left it with sales guy, told him I have contacted them about problems more times in the 4 weeks of having this car than I had in the previous 4 years of the previous sport I had.
This will mean the car has been back to the dealer 3times in the 5 weeks of owning the car, not bad going is it.
Let's see what happens in the morning

You should be a priority its a new car with faults. Two weeks imo is not acceptable.

Just booked my new car in & was told 20th April was the earliest they could take a look. Needless to say I'm escalating that as is wholly unacceptable. Paul

So mine went in today & it (according to the dealer) asked for a full Software update which took well over 2 hours to apply. The journey home went without incident, however was only a 30min drive so no idea if the problems are fixed.

They also said they applied a software update to the Telematics, i of course queried this & was told it was for the phone etc. so really wasn't telematics, but i couldn't be bothered to correct them. Surprise surprise the phone disconnected from the car mid call as i left the dealers, so either than update didn't work or they just made that bit up.

Got a longer drive tomorrow, so hopefully this will be trouble free.

The InControl Remote App is now communicating with the car again (stopped working on the 20th March) so the upgrade has certainly fixed something. Paul

Do you have the Incontrol app. The app for using the apps installed on the phone with the infotainment system. I had a similar issue to you so deleted the app. Not the Incontrol Remote app for checking the status of the car etc but the other one.

There are three app's available

Incontrol Remote - seems to be working well

Incontrol Maps - seems to be working well

Incontrol App - deleted -

Since deleting the app on the phone the bluetooth connection hasn't dropped out. Might be worth trying on yours. Previous
