Iphone 3G/ handfree

I got a vogue and it has from the looks all the buttons/microfones for handfree talking. What is the easiest and cheapest way to speak over my Iphone via bluetooth handfree? Daniel

Just activate bluetooth in your iphone (settings/general/bluetooth) and when Land Rover is found enter 2121 and that's it. Mine works flawlessly.

If you having trouble getting it to always pair to you phone or you want to use the phonebook function then speak to "wiggs" on here who sells an upgrade to the Bluetooth module.

Hope that helps Thumbs Up

Hi Daniel,
Unless you have the BT module, you are not going to get anything to work. The easiest and cheapest method is probably Parrot - if you have an iPhone there is a new Dension unit for both BT and iPod over the factory nav sytem for about €250.

If you want to do OEM, you'll need a BT module (BMW ULF), microphone, BT antenna, and a pairing button. All in all around €500. But by far the best solution.

It's a pre touch screen (04) RR. Not that easy.

Got probably the BT Box but in doesn't find it. I have a sliver box (BT Module?) and and a blackbox (TV?) underneath the satnav? What do I do now? Daniel

Hi.

The Bluetooth module should be a small black box about an inch thick on the top of the sat nav held on with a screw through the centre.(if it's Nokia)

Don't suppose anyone with Microcat could check your VIN for the build sheet to ensure you have PTI/Bluetooth?

Only on the later RR's with touch screen navs, happy. Daniel has an earlier RR.

The BT module would normally be mounted vertically at the LF of the elecronics compartment. (couldn't find a pic with the BT module installed)

2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I had the parrot system in my 1st RRSport TDv6SE, it was installed by the local LR dealer and it was so simple to operate, paired first time every time and just worked well. On the basis of that when I needed a new radio fitted in my Defender I thought I might as well get one with integrated BT and again went for the latest Parrot integrated radio/mp3 player/BT phone system - as a hands free it is excellent, it pairs 1st time every time and will play my ipod files on the BT as well BUT as soon as I connect it up to the cable connection and put the phone into the slot behind the faceplate radio reception gets continuous pulsing interference from the iphone, the iphone gets very warm in the slot even though it is vented and i loose the GPS function of the iphone as I cannot seen the phone with the control screen/ cover on the unit if I want to listen to my music or the radio. It's a good system despite that. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
