am i being stupid or is it broken yet again???

hi people ,

does anyone know if sport mode and command shift work when the centre console switches are removed? hi/low and hdc?

my panel and switches are currently at a bodyshop having a freshen up and a new sticker , took the l322 for a quick spin earlier on and i dont seem to have sport or command mode?

is this yet another fault ?

I wouldn't imagine that they would work, if you have the electronic swiches unplugged.
haven't had mine apart, but there are one or two plugs under the gear lever that control the gear shift(sport +command). Then of course the switches that control hdc/hi lo, so with these unplugged I'm surprised it's driving with no faults.

mine drives fine in auto but nothing happens in manual mode or sport mode , the only one which i can see is directly linked to the gearshift thats unplugged is a black half moon shape one? no idea what it does

Could be linked to the g/box ecu, in which case it won't be receiving any info from the g/lever.

Mines are away getting dipped in piano black. I have zero sport or manual shift in the car. I plugged mine back in before I sent my parts away and the modes returned.. hope that helps Thumbs Up

exactly the answer i was looking for thank you !

as a coincidence mine are also being done the same , have also done my heater control surrounds ect Smile

phew least its not a big problem , the car is due to go on the road in the next week or two and the panels are going to be a week or so , if there was a problem i wanted to use this time to fix it lol

in that case ill start getting the bits together for the paddleshift upgrade Very Happy

thanks again !

it kind of through me at first when mine did it . Really glad I hadn't sent mine away until I had the chance to refit and make sure gear function would return..good taste in interior finishes as well Thumbs Up

yeah that was my mistake , i didnt notice !

no wonder i thought manual mode had been lazy recently , shows how much i pay attention lol

hopefully have my panels back this week and refit and enjoy having at least one thing working on it!

then its back to fixing dodgy injectors and knackered air suspension
