Now that's cool! I've never seen that before. Did they actually produce it, or was it a one off? Any more photos?

I saw it at the Heritage Motor Museum in Gaydon. There are many more pics on the net, and it looks like there is a red one. They probably made 2 or 3 for senior executives in Rover. It was never a mainstream model.

Put "Rover SD1 estate" into google....enjoy...

I like the Jag and the Ferrari estates..... I mostly prefer more space.....

Much thanks, much appreciated. Thumbs Up Bow down

Shame. It's a good looking vehicle. Mine you, I've always liked the fastback version, whether SD1 or Rover 800 mk1&2.

I had a Rover 800 'fastback' once. It was a magnet for tw@'s.

I was about to take it to the scrap yard when this happened, and although it initially looked ok the door shutlines had disappeared. It was well and truly f*cked.

Although the 2.7 Honda V6 was nice, the rest of the car was nothing special, unlike the SD1.

The execution on that is horrible. Looks like a sandwich job with a volvo. It should've been so much better!

Neat photos, all. Thanks. Yes, Rover back hatch is definitely from one of those old boxy Volvo estates. I guess, if you're going to nick a bit of someone else's car, why not pick one of the nicest estates of the time.
