2016 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Aintree Green

Extra large screen washer bottle

A query. On my first L405 (2013) I had two filler caps for my washer bottle. On the current car (2016) I ordered the extra large washer bottle again but only have one filler cap. Is this correct? 2016 RR SDV8 Vogue (Aintree Green)

Two filler caps ?

The main one & one for headlights over the wing ? Or something different ?

The 2013 car had one filler in the o/s/f wing and one above the o/s/f headlamp. The 2016 car only has one filler in the wing. 2016 RR SDV8 Vogue (Aintree Green)

The 2 fillers thing is for the 'extra capacity' washer bottle. They appear to be linked lower down on mine.

Yes that's how my early car was, but have they got rid of the twin fillers on the 2016 models or have I only got the smaller capacity water tank? (A large tank was ordered) 2016 RR SDV8 Vogue (Aintree Green)

I have a 2017 MY with large washer bottle and there are 2 fillers - the one on the wing is largest and should be filled first.

My guess is that you don't have the large washer bottle option fitted.

That's the problem with living in the grimy UK, you need a big washer bottle. I fill mine maybe once every 6 months.

Hmm, maybe with a bigger one, I'd only need to top it up it once a year. Ron B. VK2OTC

Looks like what you ordered was not fitted. Compensation required i reckon.

Got to be worth asking.

Any compensation would reflect the cost & effort of a retro-fit

Interesting to know that some things are more hassle than they are worth to retrofit - interesting read

Yes Alistair i agree , new car, keep this one until it arrives. I just could not live without the Xtra lrg wash.

The additional washer bottle is an £30 add-on ref 039BB at time of signing up and increases the volume from 6L to 8.1L

It will cost a lot more than £30 to retrofit....

I hadn't realised it was only a 25% increase though
