Well I have acquired a leather headlining from a MY2010 Autobiography, ,complete with all the leather pillars and accesorries. It even came with the full sunroof and leather sliding shade.

Any chance of a few pictures of the sunroof cover (back,etc)... might see something and have one of those moments  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Craig replaced the one in mine when he had it to the black and left the sunroof slider out so i just had a tint put on it so keeps sun out but lets a little light in to stop the black being too dark inside  _____________________________________________________

From what I can make out from the few pictures on the bay of fleas, it looks as it's fixed to the runners with 4 screws but you'd have to drop the sunroof to get at them  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

After a bit of smurfing I have discovered that the shade can be changed from the outside You need to remove the glass, then slide the shade forward, remove the clips that are screwed in place, and if it has spring clips on the other side (BMW E46) pop them out the track and it should all lift out

I found someone on rangerovers.net saying that you didn't need to drop the lineing and you could remove it after the glass.. but that was it no method Really bloody helpful, I suspect the poor chap asking the question was left feeling a bid

And then I though I'd see if there was a video on you tube... there isn't... but there are a few for the BMW roofs, and I'm assuming that they have come from the same source  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

So spent last weekend fitting the new headligning, incan confirm you can fit the shade from the outside by removeing the sun roof glass. Here's a few pics of the new leather headligning fitted, I'm very pleased with the way it turned out!

You reminded me that I need to have my headlining out to have it re-covered in fabric as its all fallen down and flaps round like mad driving with the windows open.

Was it much hassle getting the old headliner board out and the new one back in again? That's the only bit that worries me really. I will get a mate to help me out but I am sure there must be a special way to tilt it/manoeuvre it to make extraction/insertion easy. Oh err, that sounds like the start of a game of innuendo bingo.

It's not a mega hard job to do just lots has to come out to do it

All post covers need removing as well as the front passenger seat. You have to release all the seat belts from there securing bolt to allow the post covers to be removed. You have to open the sunroof to its max using the manual wonder on the motor to give access to the roof clamp screws they hold the headligning in place.

The headligning will then come out with a little bit of wiggling, the rear of the headligning is the widest point and took a little persuasion to get out of the rear of the car.
