I sounds like it is going through the start up routine but not getting flame detection and then shutting down. Did you hear the FBH fuel pump clicking? If you did it may be an air lock in the fuel pipe, the glow plug, the water pump or the flame detector.......or the battery voltage as mentioned earlier. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

The fuel pump is a solenoid pump which you should be able to hear clicking. If you can't hear it then either the glow plug isn't glowing which iirc inhibits the fuel pump or the pump is stuck or faulty. The GAP iid diagnostic can read FBH error codes for MY 2010 + vehicles.

I have the same year and model as you, had a quick look under the battery today with a borescope (to lazy to remove the wheel arch) and saw a sticker "66724C" which I assume is the heater but I've never seen anything on my screen about it.

Should I assume that it's been disabled (or never enabled) on mine?

I didn't check the fuse yet but I assume even if the fuse was blown it would appear in my menu?

press the top left button on your screen (the one with the big tick on )and the option for the timed climate appears on the bottom right of the screen. set the first time and see if it cuts in Current. FFRR Vogue. TD6 Java black.

Thanks for that.

Just had another look and after a quick look through the manual I seem to be missing the "Timed Climate" option in the bottom right of the next screen, must be disabled but I'll have a look at the fuses just in case, thanks.

What year is your vehicle?

Iirc it was an option from factory, being a TD6 it had it fitted but had to be enabled to use timed heat. I believe iid tool or faultmate will enable it!

I need to enable mine soon I think!

It's a 2006 TD6 HSE.

It sounds like it's fitted but not enabled alright.

Time to stop thinking about a tool and actually get one, so to speak.

I had another quick look at this over the weekend and fuse 59 wasn't fitted.

I fitted the fuse and although the timed option still doesn't appear on the menu the heater does seem to function.

I had actually forgotten I had fitted the fuse but when I came out of work late one night over the weekend (it was below freezing) and started the engine for a few minutes before I left I could hear and smell it, and then noticed some smoke from under the bonnet.

Can anyone tell me that if this was fitted that it would function itself under normal conditions, as required but just has to have the timed option enabled?

Sorry for hijacking this thread a bit..... Embarassed

Many thanks.

Australia 2008 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Rimini Red

The heater has two functions . One is as a cabin heater where it runs via the screen or remote to heat the cabin and a valve is closed so it doesn't try to heat the engine block and two is where below a set temperature it comes on with the engine to speed up engine warming to achieve better emissions a quickly as possible.

If your vehicle doesn't have the cabin heater option fitted from the factory you may not have the switch over valve and it won't be possible to enable it . 2008 MY Supercharged

Thanks for that Axle.

It came on again today, which was a surprise, I didn't think it was that cold, about 4 degrees I think, and was blowing warm air into the cabin within a minute or two so I'm not exactly sure what that tells me.

We haven't had weather consistently cold enough to properly monitor it's operation, I'll have to do a little reading to find out exactly what's expected of it, of course not having enough really cold weather to monitor it I guess means that I don't really need it........ Embarassed

And to think I didn't really read all those posts over the winter about FBH's because I didn't know I had one....... Embarassed
