You can buy spray can heat resistant black paint in Halfords in matt Black (or silk) but even better and cheaper is heat resistant BBQ black paint also available in Halfords!

Just clean up the box and pipes get underneath and spray it on - works and looks great. Chrome tips just finish the job nicely IMHO.

strangely enough its called 'DIRECT TO METAL PAINT' [honest] brought from wickes..i didnt clean or sand down the exhaust , i just painted it straight on...i also done the towbar and anything else i could find under the back...

stove paint also works well, and its usually very hard wearing / steam cleaner resistant

Hi daveo,

I love the mod it's just perfect. I was actually just searching the forum for information on painting the back box as mines is peeling but when I seen your chrome tips. I had to have them.

If it's not too much of a pain can you tell me exactly what you asked them to make you? Also did it change/increase the sound at all? Or is in purely cosmetic. Tbh I don't want to increase the sound the v8 is enough of a monster as it is. Laughing Twisted Evil

Thanks in advance for your reply. Cheers.
