As far as I know, on my 2003 L323 it's a few button presses to reset... May be wrong but worked on my car

Yup, me too. The iCarsoft tool doesn't reset the service interval.

Thanks for the confirmation. It is not possible to reset the service indicator on a TDV8 manually but I had hoped there was a cheaper alternative to having to buy the more expensive code reader. I think I'll just ignore the message for the time being.

The Blackbox Solutions Faultmate MSV-2 diagnostic system that I had for my 2003 model, which cost north of £1000, had a ‘reset service interval indicator’ button:

and, when you clicked on it, the software simply displayed a page listing the manual resetting method :

Slightly disappointing for £1000+, I’m sure you’ll agree!

Thanks Phil.

That's why I asked the original question. I knew someone on this forum would know the answer so thought I'd ask before making an expensive mistake.

Once they went with the fibreoptic infotainment system the ability to clear the service indicator dispersed somewhere into the ether but an iiD Tool can reset it like the others mentioned and it can change the intervals it goes off as well . 2008 MY Supercharged

OOO I say that Foxwell 510 is tempting, allegedly will calibrate suspension as well.

icarsoft i930 and LRII

Hi all,
I'm just about tio purchase a code reader and I'm now totally confused. I've get AIR SUSP INACTIVE all over my readout. Fitted a new air bag and compressor but the fault is a 'hard'? code. So I wanted a reader to clear it and bring it back online. It seems that peeps here on this forum have reset using the i930 but the manufacturer insists that I need the LRII. is this because of changing models over time etc??

Any clue/help would be great. Happy to spend some money on a reader but want the right thing to do the job - Cant afford the GAP though Smile

If there is some kind person near you with a GapiiD tool they can clear the fault. Faults aren't VIN locked. John

MD 802 All System will read the air suspension and more. Just make sure it's the All System, as they do a basic 4 system also. Don't rely on the description, ask the seller the question.
