L322 remote start

Would this fit a 2012 l322? My FBH is ok but remote start while I'm in the shower would be awesome Laughing

check your insurance first why not get up 10 mins earlier !wouldn't have that myself even though nearest house is over 1/2 mile away and I have massive gates and 3 dogs roaming around not worth 10 mins in bed to lose a car

I don't think you can get into the car as it leaves the doors locked + if it moves on gps without permission it shuts down,so I think the system has already thought of that, I believe the new jags and range rovers have a app now that basically does the same Landrover in control remote app Thumbs Up

Most mornings I see someone park their car and leave it running outside our corner shop while they nip in for their fags and paper. I would point out that it is illegal and highly dangerous to leave any vehicle unattended with the motor running, but as it is a purple honda civic they are probably hoping someone will nick it. Unfortunately even car thieves usually have a little taste.... QUID FACIUM TIBI

It's perfectly legal on your own drive, the road traffic act applies to public roads and other public places...

All of the systems for sale have numerous fail safes to ensure no one can drive off with your car, they have self killing circuits that switch everything off if the brake is touched which you have to do to get it out of park, as well as other failsafes...

Having said that they are difficult to fit in most modern cars with RFID immobilisers as you have to have a separate work around for them and that will affect your insurance....

Clear your garage out and stick the FF in there, heat the garage, job done...!!! Pete

Our remote Fbh is really good. 10 minutes and the car is warmer and the frosted Windows defrosted (2012).

Thumbs Up

I would check you FBH is working as it should. There are a few updates which deal with battery management which make it run slightly longer.

Mine seems ok on most occasions, and will heat the car in about 10 mins to toasty warm. But it seems to depend on the state of the battery charge on the odd occasion. The remote one on my D4 gets used every frosty morning and is less powerful it seems than the FF one. Still powerful enough to defrost the windows though. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Webasto

Their web site says how long you should expect an FBH to warm up a car.
30 minutes on a big car.
17 / 18 minutes is the FBH cycle time for MY11 and MY12.
Enough to make the interior Luke warm. LR also deactivated the FBH function de-icing the mirrors.
As the cycle time is 17/18 minutes it is unclear how someone can say 10 minutes leaves their interior toasty warm.
And if 10 minutes was enough, why would LR have put the cycle time back to 30 minutes for the most recent 405s?
And with the old lead acid batteries the cycle time was also 30 minutes......

Depends on the outside temperature of course. But 10-15 mins is enough to warm the car up to a comfortable enough temperature.

My old 07 did heat for longer but the 12 is still fine in the majority of circumstances.

Got me wondering now..... so there is currently a thermometer in the car and I have set the FBH running. I will leave it for 10 mins and check the temp. Currently 2deg In the car. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
