England 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Baltic Blue

Cheers for the info, the thing is the coily cable is to thick and short to have it out of the cubby box so to connect its a faff, I always have a cable coming out the cubby from the USB as I keep it charged, so my reckoning then is this new cable I have ordered will discreetly come out of the cubby causiing no closure issues or length issues pulling the 30 pin out all the time, and I'll get a slightly better quality than the Tune2air, as I say I usually plug in anyway so hopefully all will be good, I will report back Thumbs Up
And if I'm going to have to use data to use the iTunes Match every time I agree it's a bad idea I was hoping I could download a song at home on wifi and still listen in the car Sad

I'm sure that would be possible, but as all it does is match up your music you have on your local iTunes to the cloud, then you already have it stored on your computer to put onto you phone so is just duplicating you library. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Mine tune2air arrived this week. The sound quality is perfectly good Thumbs Up and it was just plug and play with the genuine LR cable. the 30 pin to lightening connector will work with the latter iPhones and you will get all the albums etc on the screen, but you will have to plug your phone it to get it. This is fine if you are needing to charge it for example on long trips, it is a pain when going to the supermarket etc.....the device will pick up from what you were last playing automatically, so you don't even have to get your phone out of your pocket.

The tune to air basically gives the system the same functionality as the newer systems, Then if you need to charge it a standard cable from the USB port works fine. Thumbs Up whIch is how I charge it in any case, so by my reckoning it's worth the extra £40 over an apple cable adapter.

Works fine left in the cubby by the way Thumbs Up not sure if iTunes Match works through it as I'm a Luddite and like to own the music I listen to. But indont think it's a good idea in any case. Unless you have an unlimited data contract, why would you want to stream your music from the cloud? Much better to have it on the phone the. You aren't subject to the vagueries of the mobile data service.

Can I ask did you get the 1000 or 3000 model? Ive seen from other forums that the 1000 is the one to have for a RR. Where did you purchase yours from as I've had a good luck on the net and they all seem to be out of stock!

Many thanks

If you have the 2010-> Range Rover then the WMA 1000 is the one to go for, the other has a connector for Audi/ Mercedes built in where as the 1000 just has a 30 pin socket. You will need the lead from the iPod connector in the centre cubby hole as well (not the USB port).

They were in stock with amazon a few weeks back but are out again. I got mine off eBay. But again it depends on stock or someone selling. Try and avoid buying from the states as you could get clobbered for duty though.

If your car is pre 2010 then they won't work unless you have the LR iPod system installed. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Okay thank you!

Ive got a 59 plate MY10, and already have the cable present. Has anyone used one of these with an iPhone 9, does it still work?

Only reason I'm going in for one is the lack of a headphone jack on this new phone.

Many thanks

Hi,

Will one of these work the same? https://www.amazon.co.uk/ViseeO-Tune2air-W...B00B52LLJ6

Looks identical, and comes up when you google a Viseoo

I reckon it should. Not sure that anyone has a Bovee one yet, but the info says it does the same thing. Thumbs Up if you read the reviews i reckon it sounds exactly the same thing and there is a pic of the bovee with tune2air branding on it somewhere on amazon. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Sounds like a faulty unit. Get it exchanged see if you fare any better with its replacement!

Do you have the genuine LR cable?

Mine eBay one has been in a few weeks now and works perfectly.

Bit odd that it's still static on radio. Have you tried impairing your phone from the cars telephone BT then trying the music? If the phone is connecting to the Cars BT for a call or nav instruction then it will cut the music/radio Across all sources while it tries to throughput the call/nav command.

Check what apps you have running on your phone, and see if one of them is overiding the music/cars BT. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but has anyone tried one of these with an android device?

Bought the Bovee version from Amazon - it works to the point playing sound through the head unit, but I don't get any artist info on the screen, just 'Track 01' or something similar. Text works with other bluetooth head units from the same phone, so I don't think it's a problem at the phone end.

I also can't believe that you have such a big screen, yet all you seem to be able to do is display a truncated copy of the song title - where's the maximise option that lets you display more than one bit of info at a time on the screen?? LR's UI designer needs to be given a kicking!!
