Loose side vent?

Took the Westie to Wales and back yesterday, faultless trip but noticed some wind noise and a slight rattle coming from front drivers side. Had a look and nothing obviously loose but the side vent doesn't seem as solidly fixed as the passenger side one so I'm thinking maybe it just needs refitting and/or maybe a broken trim fixing.

Can someone tell me how the side vent side are fitted and are they easy to remove and refit. Don't want to start yanking them off and end up snapping something vital.

Had that in mine, dealers didn't find the noise and only realised when I had my vents changed. 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

Had a rattle on mine, only at 50+ mph, and thought it was the side vent. It wasn't.

It eventually occurred to me that the noise only started after I'd had a new windscreen fitted, and it turned out to be the side trim on the windscreen. I could get hold of it and peel it away from the windscreen, but obviously couldn't see it moving at 50 mph.

Worth investigating?

I had a rattle in mine at 50+ mph. I took the vent off to have a look and noticed that the fit between the painted and black plastic trim wasn't great, the two could rattle into each other. I separated the two parts, its simply pushing down three retainint tabs to release them. Then I put some 3M double sided padded tape on the parts that I thought would rattle, reassembled and re-installed. It took around 5 minutes to complete.

A quick test drive and voila, no more rattle at 50+ mph.
