Scotland 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Atacama Sand
Just bought FF with a few wee problems

Hello

I have just bought a 2004 V8 Vogue as I have not been able to get my other cars moving over the last few weeks. I am having a few problems which I'm hoping you guys can help me fix.

Air suspension inactive
The air suspension is now inactive. It worked for the first six days of ownership. One night it went below -20. I have read this can cause this to knock the air suspension out. I have tried moving the steering wheel from lock to lock, I have also disconnected the battery for ten minutes as per advice on other threads.

GPS navigation system
I bought a new disc as the screen was saying no disc was in the unit. I inserted disc but it still coming up with the same error. The unit has power to it and I can hear movement in the unit but still cant get it to work. The disc won't eject, can I get the disc out by stripping the unit down.

Boot rattle
When I shut the top of the boot it rattles. I hear it's an easy fix does anyone have any pictures / advice on how to do it?

Drivers door handle sticking
When frozen if I open the car door from the outside the handle sticks open. This results in the door not catching and I cant drive the car until it's thawed. Is it difficult to remove the door handle and give it a good clean? Again does anyone have advice on how to do this?

I think that's about it for now. Here is a photo of it but that's not my number plate:

Hi

I have just had a similar problem with the air suspension . Have a look at the control knob , if there is a light illuminated in the center of the knob ,as far as I can make out this means that the air system has a fault and the electronics have locked out the system to prevent ride height changes .

It could just be that any moisture in the system has frozen causing the pressure switch on the resovoir to send back the wrong signals to the ECU , and when it thaws out it may just need resetting by the dealer .

some good info here

http://www.rswsolutions.com/index.php?opti...;Itemid=73

and on the rangerover.net site .

In my case , the garage has told me that the air compressor is faulty, luckily it is under warranty and will be replaced free of charge .

There is a recent topic on this subject here http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic3712.html and the lock might just be frozen (mine was). I was able to pull my door closed and then use the locking button to hold it closed. You need to take the door card off, unscrew the lock mechanism and then lubricate with a silicone spray.

Re the SatNav - the 2004 was when they changed from a CD to a DVD map - you might be asking a CD reader to read a DVD. From memory there is a small "manual eject" hole at the front of the drive unit.
