I went more basic with the frozen seals issue, I simply put vaselene on the felt strip and it worked a treat as it doesn't freeze easily and the door now opens every time without a hint of sticking. I does seem to be the felt strip that sticks on my car , as oppossed to the main rubber seal. I actually think I got the vaselene tip somewhere on this website but can remember where it was. Easy to get hold of aswell.

Vaselene will disolve/melt the rubber - It will also bung up the felt strip so will no longer be felt-like. Hence silicone spray as it is safe on rubber of all types Wink

Is furniture polish OK as previously suggested?

I dont understand why you wouldnt use car polish followed by wax. Rather than something meant for wood? But whatever floats your boat.

You could use washing up liquid and a kitchen sponge to wash the car with too. Thumbs Up

Calm down now Danny boy I think it was you that suggested furniture cleaner in an earlier post! I was just checking to see if was really a viable alternative for those who not have silicone spray immediatly available and rarely take it up the a*se Rolling Eyes

Ah Mick, I knew when I mentioned Vaseline it was begging for a 'reply'. Apologies to the Vaseline specialists for spelling the word wrong 2 times in the same post! Steve
