Engine is back at the mechanics waiting for fitting. I'm told it will be sorted next week. At this point I'm nervous! Hopefully we managed to put everything back together correctly and she runs nicely...

Gentlemen, & Ladies!! She lives. Fired her up this evening. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. Nonetheless, after alot of cranking and couple of coughs she fired. Ran slightly rough until got up to temp. Now is perfect. But however, all looks well!

Good on you for ignoring folk and getting on with it. I didn't know **** about engines and gearboxes until I took a set of spanners and dismantled one. Admittedly a bit simpler being a 2.25D rather than TDV8. Ed |

Fantastic, well done. Put up another report about how it drives when it's all finished. ______________________________

Very well done. A lot of people comment to me about how complex the must be, but the reality is that most engines are the same basic mechanicals underneath, and just lots of electric gubbins bolted on.
