2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Alveston Red
High beam Assist

Reading disco3, i came accross this feture on the Discos that automatically turns your high beam off when it detects oncoming headlights or tail lights. Is there such a feature on the FFRR ? I think it may only be on later ones ?

Isn't it Auto-Dip or something? I'm sure this feature is on the newer RR's...

Not sure about the FFRR but tried it on a D4. Conclusion: It's the answer to a question that nobody ever asked. Not reliable enough to trust or you will end up Censored someone off, not good with gentle left hand bends and oncoming cars. Gimmick, nothing more.

The 2010 FFRR can have high beam assist , but it is part of the optional 'Vision Assist Pack' which also has things like the sensors on the wing mirrors to detect other cars e.g. when pulling across a lane on a motorway, so presumably negating the 'blind spot' scenario. Steve
