Occasional lumpy idle

On the odd occasion my 3.6tdv8 has a slightly lumpy idle, I can see the rpm changing, not much just enough to see the needle move and it can be felt through the transmission when holding on the brake while waiting to move off. its not bad but definitely there. it is not causing any faults though? Anyone had any similar issues with an intermittent rough idle?

EGR fault maybe? but that should bring on an EML?

Just tried a search.... seems that I am not the only one. Will investigate what others are reporting...

It could be EGR related. I say this because I disabled the EGRs using emulators (unplug EGR and plug in emulator so no power to EGR which stays closed). I now get the occasional drop by about 100rpm for only about 1/2 second and only at idle. ______________________________

Just an update, not fixed, but got around to putting my scanner on it, but did not highlight much, a weird reading on the B MAPT sensor but not sure if that's a glitch on my machine? Have it booked in to the dealers to see what their scanner shows up.

I've had the same for months..anything under 1000rpm and she would do the bouncy idle thing...data readings were ok (02) my maf reading was a bit high though...anyway I had an old Bosch s4 battery in it that was dying and replaced it with a decent 110ah battery and instantly it stopped..perfect idle now..voltages were somehow affecting it...strange one but an easy fix..
