I have the pink/orange coolant. What's the difference in color? Can the pink stuff come in blue/green or is it a standard system all manufacturers use? |

That's the longlife "Organic" coolant. If you mix it with any other type it forms a thick sludge... Personally I dislike it because you cant buy it everywhere and if you need a top up in a service station you will more than likely only find blue. It's also fairly expensive in comparison to plain.

I bought the Halfords Advanced coolant as a top up earlier this year with no problem.

As long as you mix that with existing red coolant then you will be fine. If you have mixed it with blue you will have a problem, you just haven't noticed yet. It's one of the causes of the blocked lower pipes in the rad which causes trans overheats. |
