I don't think that CanBus bulbs are needed, as far as I can remember they don't show up in the LCM... that's just knocked 75% off the price Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

^^ sort of right, while the puddle lights aren't on the LCM either, they do need to have the same drain as a normal bulb.... for some reason they need this for the timer circuit to function.... but I reckon that Craig's solution of wiring them direct to an interior light is the best way around that Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... getting leds to work in the mirror puddle lights is easily done by wiring one of the normal bulbs in parallel with one of the leds... ... - .- -.

Or you could just wire it to the lamp in the bottom of the door and save yourself the reliability issues that standard bulbs present Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Fair point, but a small price to pay to get away from the "I'll wait until your within a step of that puddle and then go out " effect.... I don't think it's just mine.... but from pressing the open bottom on the fob you have to sprint to get the door open before the light goes out Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I went for all blue interior led's (except the map lights) as I had them in my old Jaguar - gives a nice "look" no danger of showing up any skin imperfections and gets very positive comments I'll get some photos tonight (if it doesn't rain) |

Of course if your trying to improve safety as well as light then the obvious choice should be red, as it wont mess up your night vision Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Quick mobile phone photo of the Blue LED's - As I mentioned basically changed every light with the exception of the map reading lights as I discovered in my last car its very hard to read under blue light
